ORDER OF WORSHIP - Children's Day

GREETINGS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hallelujah!
Praise God in his holy house of worship, praise him under the open skies;
Praise him for his acts of power, praise him for his magnificent greatness;
Praise with a blast on the trumpet, praise him by strumming soft strings;
Praise him with castanets and dance, praise him with banjo and flute;
Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,
Praise him with fiddles and mandolin.
Let every living, breathing creature praise God! Hallelujah!

We thank You O Lord, for our mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers
and all our family who support our needs, health and the world around us.
We are sorry when we hurt other people's feelings.
We know we don't help when we should.
We know when we break Your Commandments.
We ask Your forgiveness for all the things we do wrong.
We ask for Your help in making us better people.
We ask for Your help so we can do Your work. Amen.

Leader: Happy are those who have not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor lingered in the ways of sinners, nor sat in the seats of the scornful!
People: Their delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law they meditate day and night.
Leader: They are like trees planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in due season, with leaves that do not wither; everything they do shall prosper.
People: It is not so with the wicked; they are like chaff which the wind blows away.
Leader: Therefore the wicked shall not stand upright when judgement comes, nor the sinner in the council of the righteous.
People: For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked is doomed.

I am only one, but I am one. I can't do everything, but I can do some things.
And what I can do, that I ought to do, and what I ought to do, by the grace of God I'll do.

I'd like to build the world a home,

That's the song I hear.
Let the world sing today,
A song of peace that echoes on
And never goes away.

All standing hand in hand,

For peace throughout the land.
