Dear IPC Family:
As the 2022-23 program year kicks off, I would like to offer you not one, but three invitations to be part of IPC’s open music ministry!
The first invitation I would like to extend is a somewhat new endeavor that I am currently calling “Occasional Chancel Choir.” Over the six years I have served IPC, a couple of IPC members have joined us to sing concerts. Having heard from a few members last year “I’d like to sing, but probably can’t commit for the whole year,” made me realize the need to invite occasional participation. If you love to sing, would love to sing with Chancel Choir, but might not be able to commit on a weekly basis, Occasional Chancel Choir is definitely for you! And if you want to participate in Chancel Choir throughout the program year, we welcome you with open arms! We will begin singing again the Sunday after Labor Day (September 11). This year, we are going to try having Chancel Choir rehearse before church only. We may tweak the start and end times a bit after trying this out for a few weeks, but for now we will try rehearsing from 8:45-10:15 AM in the Sanctuary.
Finally, you might happen to 1) not like to sing and 2) play an instrument! You have heard various instrumental musical offerings throughout the years, and that remains an important part of IPC’s music ministry!
